Argentina’s “right-wing” president-elect who has been praised by Conservatives such as Tucker Carlson, raised some eyebrows after he sat down for lunch with former President Bill Clinton.

President-elect Javier Milei sat down with Clinton for lunch in New York City.

According to insiders, Milei’s discussion with Clinton was very casual, and the two discussed the future of Argentina.

Now Milei is set to meet with Biden’s National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan.

Here’s what The Daily Mail reported:

Argentina’s right-wing president elect Javier Milei sat down for a working lunch with ex-President Bill Clinton on Monday in New York City and now heads to Washington DC for a meeting with President Joe Biden’s security aide Jake Sullivan on Tuesday.

Milei and Clinton discussed the future of Argentina during the meeting, with the 42nd president wishing the new administration well, reports said.

Biden will not meet Milei in person – the 81-year-old president will be in Georgia to attend a memorial for former First Lady Rosalynn Carter before making a trip to Colorado.

Joining Sullivan for his talks with Milei will be representatives from the Treasury Department to discuss the libertarian’s economic policies.

‘We want to continue to look for ways to cooperate with Argentina. Argentina is a healthy and vibrant partner in this hemisphere on many, many issues,’ National Security Council spokesman John Kirby said Monday.

‘And so we’re looking forward to obviously hearing what the president-elect’s ideas are and where he wants to go on policy issues and making sure that we have a chance to keep that channel of communication open,’ Kirby added.

Per Breitbart:

Argentine President-elect Javier Milei held a surprise lunch meeting with former U.S. President Bill Clinton on Monday during his brief visit to New York.

During the meeting, Milei and his team presented their government program to Clinton and former U.S. Sen. Chris Dodd (D-CT), who currently serves as Special Presidential Advisor for the Americas.

President Joe Biden will not meet with Milei during the Argentine president-elect’s visit to the White House, expected Tuesday afternoon.

Milei is presently undergoing a short trip in the United States that started Monday with a visit to the burial site of the seventh Lubavitcher Rebbe, Menachem Mendel Schneerson, before Milei and his team met with Clinton and Dodd in the afternoon.
