Dan Bongino Floats “Crazy” Theory For Trump

Share

Dan Bongino is an outside the box thinker.

He went way outside of that box when discussing how President Donald Trump should respond to his pending arrest in Fulton County, Georgia.

According to Bongino, Trump should not post bail at all.

He says that Trump should let the Secret Service designate the jail as a protected area, which they have the authority to do.

This would put the pressure squarely on Fani Willis, who Bongino called “a smartass tyrant, little socialist communist.”

“You’re gonna jail him? Let’s elect our first political prisoner. Go ahead. Go to jail. Let the Secret Service shut the entire jail down, and we’ll see how long you’re willing to keep this charade going,” said Bongino

He may be on to something here.

This is not something Willis or anyone else would ever see coming.

They fully expect team Trump to post bail, and they’d be scrambling if he threw this curve ball.

As Bongino put it, “The eff around and find out time has long since passed.”

He broke it down for everyone on his show:

Resist the Mainstream reported on Bongino’s idea:

Bongino, a veteran of the NYPD and the Secret Service, spoke about Trump’s looming indictment in Georgia on his his eponymous show on Rumble, arguing that the former president should not post bond and that he should compel District Attorney Fani Willis to incarcerate him.

“Folks, I don’t think the Trump team should post the bond. I don’t,” Bongino said. “This may sound like a crazy idea, but folks, we’re living in crazy times. And crazy times require different, crazy, bold approaches.

“Fani Willis wants to be a smartass tyrant, little socialist communist like she is down in Fulton County, Georgia? Don’t post. Don’t post the bond,” Bongino continued. “You’re gonna jail him? Let’s elect our first political prisoner. Go ahead. Go to jail. Let the Secret Service shut the entire jail down, and we’ll see how long you’re willing to keep this charade going.”

The left-leaning Huffington Post chimed in:

Bongino said that if Trump were to opt for jail rather posting bond, his Secret Service detail would be able to “shut the entire jail down, and we’ll see how long you’re willing to keep this charade going.”

Bongino, a former Secret Service agent, then cited statutes that he claimed gave the Secret Service an “absolute federal authority supremacy clause” that allowed to “declare anything a federally protected area ― even a prison cell.”

He said that an entire prison wing could be cleared out so that Trump might not see another human being other than Secret Service agents.

Bongino said Trump supporters should protest at the jail every day the former president, who was charged with more than a dozen felonies in Georgia earlier this month and faces multiple criminal cases elsewhere, is there.

There is certainly merit behind this idea, as others have pointed out online.
