Lin Wood FLIPPED On President Trump?

Share

This is a tough one for me….

I have to admit I am a bit taken back by all the Lin Wood hate.

I was hanging out with a group of many conservative people a couple months ago, not all MAGA but I would say heavily MAGA, and the overwhelming majority of the group did NOT like Lin Wood.

I have never seen anything from the man that would engender so much hatred.

He is very public about his faith in Jesus Christ.

He has supported President Trump at nearly every step along the way.

I guess I just don’t understand where all the hate comes from.

The only thing I have found a bit odd about Lin Wood is when he posts those pictures of his dog pointing his tail at people which he uses to identify essentially Deep State players or Wolves in Sheep’s clothing.

That’s fine, but he has identified pretty much everyone under the sun.

So I do find that odd, but otherwise he seems to me to a very sane and level headed person, strong in his faith, and very public about all of it.

So I can understand why the MSM and Far-Left would hate him, but I am surprised at the hatred in the MAGA community.

I suppose it comes from a rift between General Flynn and Lin Wood that arise years back.

And just as much as their is almost blind hatred of Lin Wood, there is an almost equally blind loyalty to General Flynn that I also find a bit hard to understand.

But let me set all of that aside for the moment and give you the latest turn of events that is sure to not engender Lin Wood to those who already dislike him.

The latest?

Reports out today claim Lin Wood is a witness for the State in Fani Willis’ Georgia Case against Trump and the other 18 co-defendants.

You can mark Liz Crokin down as being with the “hate Lin Wood” crowd:

Raw Story reports Lin Wood is a “cooperating witness” for the State in the Georgia Case:

Cooperating Witness does not appear to be correct.

“Witness” is correct, but “cooperating witness” appears to be in dispute.

Lin Wood himself responded to the allegations on his Telegram:

We report both sides here regardless of any personal feelings I have, so I’m giving you both.

And if Lin Wood is standing up and defending himself, then we need to weigh that in the balances.

He says point blank “NO TRUTH” to the allegations he has been flipped.

He appears to confirm he is being called as a Witness, but the State can subpoena anyone they want in a case and force that person to testify.

It does not mean the person is a “cooperating witness”.

That said, rumors have been flying that Lin Wood cut a deal in exchange for his testimony.

I have heard those rumors and can confirm I have heard them circulating for a long time, but I do not presently have any evidence to confirm whether they are true.

The only evidence I have is Lin Wood’s post above.

At this point, we are left with two options: (1) Lin Wood is telling the truth and the rumors are false and Fake News and slanderous towards Lin Wood, or (2) Lin Wood truly has gone off the deep end and is categorically lying about this.

Those are really your only options.

I’m not here to select one of those options, I’m just here to report.

My personal feelings are more in line with MJ Truth who posted this:

That seems to be a very FAIR and FACTUAL way to play it right now.

Time will tell.

Here is what RedState reported:

When Donald Trump and 18 other co-defendants were indicted by Fulton County DA Fani Willis earlier in the year, there was one name suspiciously missing from the list. That would be attorney Lin Wood, who was one of the ringleaders in claiming the 2020 election in Georgia was stolen.

Aside from holding rallies promoting “Stop the Steal,” Wood even went so far as to claim that Brian Kemp and Brad Raffensberger were going to be jailed. Given that, you can imagine the confusion among onlookers when it was revealed he wasn’t charged with anything regarding Willis’ supposed criminal conspiracy.

Now, we know why, or at least we have a pretty darn good idea of why. On Wednesday, a court filing revealed that Wood has flipped on Donald Trump and will be a key witness for the state in the RICO case.

Pro-Donald Trump lawyer Lin Wood is a “witness for the state” in the Georgia election subversion case, Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis revealed Wednesday.

The reference to Wood was buried in a new court filing by the DA’s office that raised potential conflicts of interest for six defense attorneys because they previously represented witnesses or other defendants in related proceedings.

Wood was previously subpoenaed by prosecutors in the Georgia probe but his status as a witness for the state was not previously known.

“Lin Wood is a witness for the State in the present case,” the court filing says.

It’s obvious why this isn’t good news for Donald Trump. With Wood having been such a prominent part of “Stop the Steal,” including inventing and promoting some of the wildest conspiracy theories, he would not have been let off the hook if he didn’t have something very valuable to provide to the prosecution. That could mean anything from text messages and emails to direct testimony.

It doesn’t even really matter whether that testimony is true or not. It’s just a matter of what he’s willing to say and hand over to save his own bacon. Given that Willis didn’t even bother charging him in order to squeeze him, he must have been very cooperative from the beginning of her investigation.

The DailyNews reports the following (please ignore the bias):

  1. Lin Wood, a disgraced pro-Trump lawyer who spread lies about the 2020 election, has flipped and will appear as a witness for the prosecution in the Georgia racketeering case against former President Donald Trump.

Wood is named as a cooperating witness in unrelated filing by Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis.

The court papers do not reveal any details about Wood’s involvement in the case or what he might testify about.

Some legal pundits believed Wood had flipped on Trump when he was not charged in the Georgia case and did not appear to be an unindicted co-conspirator.

The special grand jury that heard evidence in the case recommended Wood be charged alongside Trump and the others but he was not indicted, a move that hinted he could be cooperating.

Wood was once a celebrated Georgia lawyer who helped exonerate accused Atlanta Olympics bomber Richard Jewell and the parents of slain child beauty queen JonBenet Ramsey.

Wood filed an ill-fated federal lawsuit claiming the presidential election was rigged in Georgia and also joined several pro-Trump suits in other states that were all tossed out by judges for lack of evidence among other issues.

He briefly mounted a bid to lead South Carolina’s Republican Party but dropped out of the race.

The Georgia state bar association opened an investigation into Wood over his actions, which were considered potentially improper. He tried to block the probe, which included efforts to obtain a mental health exam over his erratic behavior.

Wood eventually retired from legal practice in exchange for the disciplinary charges being dropped.

So….what do you think?

I’m really curious how everyone here feels about Lin Wood:
