‘Stand Up or Step Aside’: Republican Presidential Candidate Calls on Governor DeSantis to Take Action Following News of Potential Trump Indictment

On Saturday morning, 45th President Donald J. Trump made a statement in response to news that broke Friday that he would be indicted next week by the Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg (D).

As previously reported by the DC Enquirer, five senior officials told NBC News that law enforcement agencies are conducting “preliminary security assessments” for the Manhattan Criminal Court in case Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg (D) brings charges.

In response to this news, President Trump responded, saying that he will be “arrested” on Tuesday:

Our nation is now third world and dying. The American dream is dead! The radical left anarchists have stolen our presidential election, and with it, the heart of our country. American patriots are being arrested and held in captivity like animals, while criminals and leftist thugs are allowed to roam the streets, killing and burning with no retribution. Millions are flooding through our open borders, many from prisons and mental institutions. Crime and inflation are destroying our very way of life. Now illegal leaks from a corrupt and highly political Manhattan district attorney’s office, which has allowed new records to be set in violence crime and whose leader is funded by George Soros indicate that, with no crime being able to be proven, and based on an old and fully debunked (by numerous other prosecutors!) fairytale, the far and away leading Republican candidate and former president of the United States of America, will be arrested on Tuesday of next week. Protest, take our nation back!”

In response to the news, as previously reported by the DC Enquirer, businessman and rival GOP presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy came out to call for the Manhattan DA to not indict the 45th president.

He explained that if the district attorney did go forward with an indictment of President Trump, it would be “the beginning of the end of the American experiment.”

With Vivek speaking out clearly about the issue, he called upon Gov. Ron DeSantis, who is widely expected to announce a run for the presidency, to voice his opinion, particularly since President Trump currently resides in the state of Florida.

“[T]he ruling party is now looking to use police power to lock up its biggest political rival,” he wrote in response to a tweet sent by the governor yesterday. “The [GOP] donor class favorites have been deafeningly silent about it. Stand up or step aside. Stop being fake.”

Governor DeSantis is the second most popular potential GOP candidate for president and the most popular governor in America. Given that Trump also resides in his state, the Floridan should immediately issue a statement on a potential indictment.

The American people respect Governor DeSantis’ opinion and want to hear what he has to say on this important issue. As of this report, Governor DeSantis has not made a statement on the matter.
