The Fani Willis evidentiary hearing earlier today was full of intense moments.

First, Willis’ lover Nathan Wade gave his testimony. At one point, he angrily stormed out of the courtroom…

We reported on that here:

Later in the afternoon, Fani Willis surprised everyone by taking the stand herself.

She delivered a dramatic testimony…and essentially, made an ass of herself.

At one point, Willis had a meltdown when asked by lawyer Ashleigh Merchant if Nathan Wade had ever visited her “at a place you laid your head.”

Willis responded by waving papers in the air and repeating, “IT’S A LIE! IT’S A LIE!”

The judge was so done by this point, he actually called a 5-minute recess and walked out of the courtroom!

That clip went viral on social media.

Take a look:

This wasn’t the only heated moment of Willis’ testimony.

Instead of sticking to answering questions about her illicit love affair, Fani Willis asserted that she was not the one “on trial” and tried to turn it back around on Trump for “trying to steal an election”…

During her theatrical testimony, Willis was also repeatedly reprimanded by the judge over her hostility.

Forbes broke down some of the highlights from Fani Willis’ Thursday testimony:

In her testimony, Willis took questions from attorney Ashleigh Merchant, who represents one of Trump’s co-defendants, saying Merchant’s “interests are contrary to democracy,” adding: “It’s highly offensive when someone tries to implicate that you slept with somebody the first day you met with them.”

Willis confirmed in her testimony she met Wade at a conference in 2019, though Merchant argued the pair started dating “shortly thereafter,” which Willis slammed as “one of your lies”—Wade also admitted to dating Willis in a court filing earlier this month, though he said they only “developed a personal relationship” in 2022, after he was hired.

Willis then slammed Merchant, arguing she is “not on trial,” but that Trump and his co-defendants “are on trial for trying to steal an election in 2020,” adding: “I’m not on trial no matter how hard you try to put me on trial.”

OANN also commented on Willis’ time on the witness stand:

Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis provided a nuanced response about 90 minutes into her dramatic testimony in a Georgia courtroom, saying that her “physical” affair with prosecutor Nathan Wade ended prior to Donald Trump and eighteen associates being charged with a racketeering conspiracy.

It was unclear, however, if the connection had ended altogether prior to the shocking indictment.

Wills was questioned regarding when the pair had allegedly broken up, deep into her testimony on the “romantic” relationship that she kept secret from coworkers.

“The romantic relationship ended before the indictment was returned—yes or no?” asked Trump lawyer Steven Sadow inside the Fulton County courthouse on Friday.

“To a man, yes,” she responded, claiming that the relationship with Special Prosecutor Wade had ended by then.

“To a man yes, to you no?” Sadow asked in a follow-up question.

“Did the forthcoming indictment have anything to do with that?” he continued.

Willis’s opinions on the distinctions between men and women were important to her response.

Throughout the sensational hearing, the DA frequently provided eye-catching and occasionally superfluous details. Some examples included her love for Grey Goose vodka, the fact that she kept up to $15,000 in cash in her house, and how she refused to say what continent Belize is located on after visiting it with Wade.

What do you think?

Did Fani Willis’ testimony do more to hurt rather than help her case?

Is she DONE?
