Former Fox News host Tucker Carlson has released another preview for his highly anticipated interview with former President Donald Trump, which is set to begin at 8:55 ET on Wednesday, August 23.

Carlson previously released another preview where he pointed out that his content has been racking up tens-of-millions of views on X, the social media company formerly known as Twitter. “We think voters have an interest in hearing what he thinks,” Carlson said in the preview for the interview, which will be airing five minutes before the start of the GOP presidential debate on Fox News.

The latest preview is complete with brief clips and a sampling of questions. “What ever happened to Mike Pence?… Did Epstein kill himself?” and “will there be a civil war?” were among the questions asked by Carlson. He also asked the former president whether he fears for his personal safety, asking “Do you think they’ll try to kill you? Why wouldn’t they try to kill you, honestly?”

“They’re savage animals. They are, people that are sick,” Trump said in one of the clips.

“We’re doing this interview but we’ll get bigger ratings using this crazy forum that you’re using than probably the debate,” Trump said in another clip.

Carlson’s Trump interview has reportedly become a major point of contention at Fox News. Author Chadwick Moore, who recently published a biography on Carslon, cited a network whistleblower in claiming that Fox personalities are completely banned from making any references to the debate.
