Mark Meadows Flips On Trump, Agrees To Plead Guilty To Federal Charges In Exchange For Immunity Deal: Report

Former President Donald Trump’s ex-Chief of Staff Mark Meadows has reportedly flipped on his old boss and will take a plea deal with the Department of Justice in exchange for immunity.

Prosecutors are ready to ask grand jurors to approve an indictment against Trump for violating US criminal code known as Section 793, which prohibits “gathering, transmitting or losing” any “information respecting the national defense.” They will reportedly ask grand jurors to vote on Trump’s indictment tomorrow.

The report goes on to say the use of Section 793 is a possible end around for the Feds to try to kneecap Trump’s obvious defense that he used his authority as president to declassify the documents he removed from the White House. If so Trump will take this to SCOTUS.

That section states that anyone who “lawfully having possession of, access to, control over, or being entrusted with any document relating to the national defence, and willfully communicates, delivers, transmits or causes to be communicated, delivered, or transmitted or attempts to communicate, deliver, transmit or cause to be communicated, delivered or transmitted the same to any person not entitled to receive it, or willfully retains the same and fails to deliver it on demand to the officer or employee of the United States entitled to receive it can be punished by as many as ten years in prison.”

Meadows has given evidence before the grand jury and is said to be cooperating with the investigation.

The report claims, “It is understood that the former North Carolina congressman will plead guilty to several federal charges as part of a deal for which he has already received limited immunity in exchange for his testimony.”

If reports are accurate and Mark Meadows has accepted a plea deal on lesser charges in exchange for his cooperation–and one charge is conspiring to obstruct Congress–DOJ has its much-needed conspirator for charges against Trump.

Conspiracy needs at least 2 individuals.
