Oprah Grilled over $1 Million Payment to Endorse Kamala Harris: ‘I’m Not Talking About the Election’
TV mogul Oprah Winfrey has been grilled by a reporter over allegations that she was paid $1 million to publicly endorse Democrat candidate Kamala Harris’s failed presidential election campaign.
Harris spent lavishly in her failed effort to win the White House.
Financial records show her campaign was doling out huge sums of cash to effectively bribe celebrities like Oprah for their support.
The Washington Examiner reports that Harris paid $1 million to Oprah to boost her glitzy presidential bid.
The Harris campaign burned through $1 billion and ended with $20 million of debt.
Despite the astronomical spending, the Democrats were still locked out of power in Washington D.C.
Amid the flurry of spending, Harris spent $15 million on event production for celebrity concerts such as the election eve rally with Katy Perry, Lady Gaga, and Ricky Martin.
This was how they artificially pumped up “enthusiasm” for her but concerts don’t translate to actual voters.
Harris also reportedly paid $1 million to Harpo Productions, which is owned by Oprah Winfrey.
Winfrey did a town hall with Harris back in September and appeared at that election eve rally in Philadelphia.
A video has now emerged of Oprah caught off-guard on the street.
She was grilled about the money and was not happy to be surprised.
The reporter spots Oprah and tells her, “You’re looking very good.”
“How do you think the election went?” he asked.
“I’m not talking about the election,” she snapped back.
“Is it true they paid you a million dollars for the endorsement for Kamala?” he asked.
“Not true,” Oprah claimed.
“I was paid nothing, ever,” she insisted.
