BREAKING: Fani Willis’ Situation Worsens With New Bombshell Court Filing
The legal battle surrounding Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis has taken a turn with a new court filing. According to documents obtained on Friday, Nathan Wade, the alleged lover and outside counsel of Fani Willis, purchased plane tickets in her name.
Nathan Wade was appointed as a special prosecutor by Fani Willis on November 1, 2021. Just a day later, on November 2, 2021, Nathan Wade filed for divorce from Joycelyn Wade. On November 3, 2021, Joycelyn Wade was served with divorce papers.
What’s particularly noteworthy is that Nathan Wade did not disclose his appointment by Fani Willis to Joycelyn Wade until much later in the proceedings.
During this time, according to court docs obtained by the Daily Caller, Wade enjoyed a lavish lifestyle, spending tens of thousands of dollars per month on extravagant trips and experiences. He also failed to comply with his discovery obligations in the divorce case, leading to contempt of court orders.
Wade’s credit card statements showed that he had taken numerous trips unrelated to his work with the Fulton County District Attorney’s office. These trips included destinations like San Francisco, Napa Valley, Florida, Caribbean cruises, Belize, Panama, and even Australia.
What makes these trips significant is the evidence that suggests Fani Willis was intended to be a travel partner on at least some of these journeys, as indicated by the purchase of plane tickets in her name.
Joycelyn Wade’s legal team has argued that they seek to depose Fani Willis to obtain details surrounding her romantic relationship with Nathan Wade. They contend that there appears to be no reasonable explanation for their extensive travels apart from a romantic relationship. Fani Willis had previously cited the “irretrievably broken with no reasonable hope of reconciliation” provision in her divorce pleadings to argue against inquiries into Nathan Wade’s infidelity.
However, Georgia divorce proceedings allow parties to amend their pleadings, and amendments are permissible until the entry of the pre-trial order. Therefore, Joycelyn Wade’s inquiry into Nathan Wade’s infidelity remains within legal bounds.
Furthermore, the conduct of the parties in divorce cases, including evidence of alleged adultery, is relevant and admissible in Georgia. This includes the right to engage in discovery to uncover evidence of adultery.
Willis had sought protection from a deposition, which allows for protective orders for certain high-ranking members of a governmental body or entity. However, Joycelyn Wade’s legal team argued that Willis certainly had unique personal knowledge of her romantic relationship with Nathan Wade, making her argument for protection invalid.
On Thursday, Superior Court Judge Scott McAfee scheduled a hearing on Feb. 15 to examine allegations against the Fulton County DA and her chief prosecutor.
Over recent weeks, Willis has been accused of hiring a private lawyer she was in a ‘romantic’ relationship with to prosecute Trump. The charges are included in a filing by Mike Roman, a former Trump campaign staffer accused of participating in the ‘fake electors’ plan as one of 18 persons indicted in the state with Trump.
Wade was paid more than $600,000 as a special prosecutor aiding her office’s extensive investigation of Trump’s efforts to overturn the 2020 election according to public court documents.
