Former CNN Host Don Lemon Makes Surprise Announcement

Wow, I was not expecting this to be on my 2024 bingo card.

Don Lemon is not exactly a favorite among conservative Americans and certainly not our readers—the former MSM personality embodied everything wrong with the corporate media when he was on TV.

The former CNN personality was unexpectedly let go from his position at the corporate news giant in April of last year.

Now, the former television news anchor has made a surprise announcement that no one expected.

Don Lemon is going independent and will be hosting a new show on Elon Musk’s X!

The social media platform continues to collaborate for exclusive news and commentary content hosted directly on the platform. Lemon announced on Tuesday:

NBC News explained:

Lemon — who was fired from CNN last year after reports that he mistreated female colleagues, as well as backlash over widely criticized comments he made on air — wrote in a statement on X that he is “back bigger, bolder, freer!”

“The Don Lemon Show,” covering topics across politics, culture, sports and entertainment, will run in 30-minute episodes three times a week.

Elon Musk’s X Business account announced: “We’re delighted to announce a new content partnership with
Don Lemon for his new project, The Don Lemon Show.

The award winning TV journalist will share his unique and honest voice in 30-minute episodes, three times a week, covering politics, culture, sports, and entertainment. The show will run exclusively first on X. Welcome Don!”

End Wokeness shared this 2013 video of Lemon and wrote: “This was 2013-era Don Lemon telling the black community to shape up. Zero mention of racism. Pure constructive criticism. If he starts talking like this again, his new show might actually stand a chance.”

CBS News revealed that Lemon’s show wasn’t the only new independent program X will be hosting:

Elon Musk’s social media company X is unveiling three new shows featuring former CNN anchor Don Lemon, former U.S. congresswoman Tulsi Gabbard and sports radio host and former ESPN star Jim Rome.
