The Des Moines Register reports:
Former President Donald Trump will come to Iowa next week for a televised town hall event, skipping a prominent campaign event Friday and instead returning to sit down with Fox News host Sean Hannity.
Trump will join Hannity in Cedar Rapids on Tuesday, marking the second time he’s joined the host in Iowa this campaign cycle. The first one, filmed in Clive, came after Trump made a series of smaller campaign stops across the Des Moines metro.
It will mark Trump’s fourth trip to Iowa since declaring his candidacy for 2024, as he continues to lead polling in the Republican primary. He visited Council Bluffs last week for a speech focused on agriculture, while also taking aim at Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis and other rivals.
The town hall will be pre-taped earlier in the day at the Alliant Energy PowerHouse and air on Fox News from 9 p.m. to 10 p.m. ET.
Trump’s town hall will occur after a Friday Republican primary forum hosted by former Fox News host Tucker Carlson.
Featured speakers for the forum, hosted by Blaze Media, include Ron DeSantis, Nikki Haley, Vivek Ramaswamy, Mike Pence, and Tim Scott.

The Hill reports:
Hannity will “take questions from the audience while discussing the 2024 presidential race, immigration, the economy and the overall state of the country with the former president,” according to a press release.
The news comes as Trump risks a growing rift with Republicans in the Hawkeye State. The former president declined to take part in a forum being hosted by Tucker Carlson — himself a former Fox News personality — in Iowa this Friday, even though some of his top Republican rivals, including Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, will be participating.
The Friday forum, which is being run by the conservative group The Family Leader alongside Blaze Media, comes days after Trump drew headlines for attacking Iowa Gov. Kim Reynolds (R) over her approach to the 2024 race.
“I love Iowa, protected & expanded Ethanol, got 28 Billion Dollars from China for our great Farmers, ended the Estate (Death!) Tax on farms, made the best TRADE deals in history (USMCA, China, & many more), introduced the World to our FARMERS, & kept Iowa’s “First in the Nation” status. I opened up the Governor position for Kim Reynolds, & when she fell behind, I ENDORSED her, did big Rallies, & she won. Now, she wants to remain “NEUTRAL.” I don’t invite her to events! DeSanctus down 45 points!” Trump wrote on Truth Social Monday.
