The Mega Millions jackpot is edging closer to $600 million.
Its grand prize climbed $38 million to reach an estimated $563 million after no ticket matched all six numbers drawn on Friday night.
The one-time cash option is now worth $265.4 million.
The winning Mega Millions numbers from Friday night were 4, 6, 40, 41 and 60 and the Mega Ball 11, the lottery said.
The next chance lottery players have at winning the Mega Millions jackpot will be Tuesday.
Mega Millions said it “would be the eighth largest jackpot in the nearly 22-year history of the game” if won at its current level. Its largest-ever jackpot, won last year, was $1.602 billion.
The grand prize was last won in December, when two tickets in California split a $394 million windfall.
Mega Millions said it “would be the eighth largest jackpot in the nearly 22-year history of the game” if won at its current level.
Its increase toward $600 million came three days after the lottery announced the jackpot had crossed the half-billion-dollar mark for the first time in 2024.
There were two instances where it crossed that point in the past 12 months, Mega Millions said.
The lottery also saw two jackpots climb above the billion-dollar mark in 2023, with one hitting $1.348 billion in January and another reaching $1.602 billion in August.
Players have a 1 in 302,575,350 chance of landing a Mega Millions jackpot.
