Trump’s ex-wife Marla Maples stands by former president, ready to help his campaign
Donald Trump’s ex-wife Marla Maples revealed in a rare interview that she’s willing to help the former president’s 2024 campaign — and is even “open” to being his vice president.
“I’m ready. I am available if needed and I’m not sitting back anymore,” Maples, who just turned 60, told the Evening Standard in her first interview in eight years.
“I want to step out more, share more and not be afraid of positive or negative outcomes that come from speaking out,” she added.

Maples, who shares daughter Tiffany Trump with the former commander-in-chief, said her willingness to help Trump’s second White House bid has not been affected by her ex-husband’s legal troubles.
She was asked about the lawsuit filed against Trump by writer Jean E. Carroll which resulted in the former president being found liable by a Manhattan federal jury for sex abuse and defamation.
Maples said she believes Trump is innocent.
“I do know my daughter’s father well enough to know that he’s never had to push himself on another person. He’s always had women throw themselves on him instead,” she told the paper. “I don’t believe there was a crime done.”

She was also dismissive about Trump’s guilty verdict this May in his Manhattan hush money trial, where he was convicted of covering up a $130,000 payout to porn star Stormy Daniels to hide alleged details of a past sexual encounter before the 2016 presidential election. He has appealed the verdict.
“They love these little sexy stories. We have a country that is failing. Our cities are not protected,” she said. “How do we make people feel safe again? That’s more important than having these lawsuits that are not affecting any of us today.”
Sources told the Evening Standard that the actress and singer could see herself as Trump’s vice president — which he is set to announce next week.
“Someone would have to ask my ex-husband about that,” she said, laughing, when asked if this is true.
“I’m open. I’m open to whatever way that I can serve. Right now everyone [in the Trump family] is just seeing how we can help,” she added.
