Did Donald Trump just give his short list of VP candidates just like every news outlet is reporting this morning?

Ehhh, not really.

Allow me to explain and to Fact-Check this for everyone.

Here’s the clip below that is going viral on Twitter that everyone is claiming is Donald Trump giving his short list of VP candidates (the clip I will post is a bit longer than the one circulating on most sites, that one cuts off pretty abrubtly)…

Take a look:

So now let’s point out a few things….

All these headlines lead you to believe Donald Trump gave Laura Ingraham his short list of candidates, and that WOULD BE a huge story.

But that’s not what happens in the clip.

In the clip, Ingraham says the audience was asked for names and then she gives him the audience’s names.

Big difference!

Ingraham does ask: “Are they all on your short list?” to which Trump responds: “They are.”

Ok, so if you are experienced in reading between the lines, you notice a few things right away….

First, he doesn’t say this is the EXCLUSIVE list.

I have a feeling it will likely be someone NOT mentioned by Ingraham.

Why?

Because second point….Trump LOVES to keep everyone guessing!

Of course he will say those people are on his short list because of course he is evaluating them.

But are they real contenders?

Maybe.

But I bet you anything there are others.

And it may be someone you least expect!
