Anti-Trump Cafe Goes Out Of Business!

Share

Discrimination for me, but not for thee.

That was apparently what liberal-welcoming Paradis Books & Bread was thinking when, over a year ago, they forced Gianno Caldwell, a Fox News Political Analyst, to exit their establishment due to his conservative views.

Tolerance and inclusion indeed.

In a recent turn of events, the leftist café has stated they will be shuttering their establishment due to various issues, not the least of which being the push-back they received for their seemingly hypocritical stance on inclusion.

As Paradis Books & Bread announced via their website that they would be closing their doors, they issued a sort of congratulations to Fox News supporters, whom they blame for their recent lack of business.

To our haters, we suppose congratulations are in order, so you can go ahead and stop reading now!

Believe it or not, most people don’t want to see a business close.

But they also don’t want to have their beliefs influenced when they’re out getting a bite to eat or shopping for clothes.

Supporters of true inclusion, which includes diversification of thought and perceptions, pointed out the irony of the situation.

Others were simply happy to celebrate another episode of “Go Woke, Go Broke.”

The Miami New Times had more on the going-out-of-business statement by the establishment:

Fox News’ Gianno Caldwell, tweeted to his 135,000-plus followers on X (formerly known as Twitter) that while he and his companions “were having discussions about politics we were told by the owner that we were not welcomed there because we aren’t politically aligned.”

The trio said they faced backlash ever since.

“After being targeted, we didn’t know if we would reopen again, and when we did, we knew we had to do our best to minimize potential harm to us and our community,” they wrote. “Since then, we’ve had our Instagram on private, put privacy screens on the gates outside, and changed our hours to make sure no one was working alone while we were operating.”

Since 2023, the owners say they have struggled with being vocal advocates of leftist ideas while attempting to maintain a profitable business. They added, “While we’re honored by all the political ways Paradis has touched and emboldened people, people who fight for a better world even and especially in a place like Florida, we’ve struggled with the reality that having a highly visible leftist space that also needs to operate as a business is extremely challenging.”

Trending Politics had more on the story:

Paradis Books & Bread, a book café located in North Miami, has closed down following a controversial decision to ask Fox News political analyst Gianno Caldwell to leave the establishment due to his conservative political beliefs.

Gianno Caldwell recounted the event during an interview with Fox News host Maria Bartiromo, expressing his disbelief and disappointment over being ostracized for his political stance. Caldwell explained, “I never thought I would make international news for being a Florida man kicked out of a restaurant because of my conservative values.” He detailed how the conversation turned uncomfortable when the café’s owner directly asked him to leave, stating that their political views did not align.

The incident quickly escalated as Caldwell took to social media to share his experience, which garnered significant attention, including 2.5 million views on Twitter. Caldwell described feeling “shell shocked” by the encounter.
