Brand new footage has been released from the assassination attempt on  President Donald Trump’s life back on July 13 that was captured by Dave Stewart who attended the rally in Butler, Pennsylvania. The video shows local law enforcement officers in a desperate and frantic search for the shooter, Thomas Matthew Crooks, before shots ring out. You can even hear Trump speaking in the background of the audio.

The video taken by Stewart was captured between 6:10-6:15 pm, while the shooting took place at 6:11 pm. A report from Fox News that was published on Monday said that text messages have revealed that law enforcement officers who were in charge of looking after the former president during the rally in Pennsylvania spotted Crooks and labeled him as suspicious 90 minutes before he opened fire on Trump and the crowd gathered there to show their support for his candidacy.

“The messages, obtained by Fox News Digital from Sen. Chuck Grassley, R-Iowa, who obtained them from Beaver County Emergency Services Unit, showed that officers flagged 20-year-old Thomas Matthew Crooks after he was spotted using a range finder – but did not approach him. The first screenshot is a group chat of Beaver ESU officers, while the second is from one Beaver County sniper departing his shift at around 4:30 – approximately an hour-and-a-half before Trump took the stage. The New York Times first reported the text screenshots,” the report went on to say.

A group chat at 4:36 pm reveals one of the law enforcement officers texted everyone that his shift was ending, and warned that there was a man, who we now know was Crooks, parked close to their vehicle. “Someone followed our lead and snuck in and parked by our cars just so you know,” the text from an officer stated. Another message stated that Crooks was located around 50 yards from the event’s exit, sitting down at a picnic table. A pair of counter-snipers then replied with a thumbs-up emoji and a “Roger that.”

Then, 45 minutes later at around 5:10 pm, officers noted Crooks was on the move, having positioned himself close to the American Glass International building. This is the same structure Crooks would then position himself on top of in order to put the former president in his sights. As he waited, an officer took a picture of Crooks. The picture shows him leaning against the building. “Kid learning around building we are in,” an officer stated in a text message that accompanied the image of Crooks. “AGR I believe it is. I did see him with a range finder looking towards stage. FYI. If you wanna notify SS snipers to look out.” The officer then says he lost sight of the suspect. Another follow-up message said, “Call it in to command and have a uniform check it out.”
