Incredible Scene As Trump Family Arrives In Virginia For Inauguration

President-elect Donald Trump and his family officially made their way to Washington D.C. on Saturday night ahead of Monday’s inauguration, marking the start of a busy weekend of pre-inauguration festivities.

The incoming president, along with his wife, Melania and youngest son, Barron, touched down at Dulles International Airport before heading to Trump Sterling Golf Club in Lowes, Island Virginia. Once there, Trump hosted a reception that drew more than 500 guests, including cabinet nominees such as Pete Hegseth, Lee Zeldin and Kristi Noem.

The family was later seen watching a fireworks display from the property’s balcony as throngs of supporters lined up on surrounding roads.

Ahead of the trip to the nation’s capital with his wife, former RNC co-chair Lara Trump and his two young children,  Eric Trump remarked that there is a “renewed hope and spirit for our country” in an X post.

“The past 10 years have been a constant fight — countless rallies, TV appearances, subpoenas, depositions, and weeks in cold courtrooms. Through endless attacks on my family, the company I run, and the employees I care for, we faced slander, fake news, home raids, and countless games designed to break us,” he wrote.

“But now, as I board this beautiful plane en route to Washington D.C. with two beautiful children — so innocent to the harsh realities of the world — I know that every ounce of my fight has been for them and the future of their generation,” he continued, adding that “America won, against all odds.”

Trump’s arrival in the capital comes ahead of a busy Sunday schedule before Monday’s inauguration, which is set to take place in the Capitol Rotunda for the first time in 40 years. The outdoor inauguration ceremony was cancelled due to arctic winds that are expected to plunge temperatures well below freezing.

The inaugural ceremonies of the president-elect and vice president-elect are planned by the Joint Congressional Committee on Inaugural Ceremonies. This year the committee was led by Senator Amy Klobuchar (D-MN), who was tasked with planning the day’s events starting with the ceremonial procession to the Capitol Building.

Vice President-elect J.D. Vance will be sworn in first, followed by President-elect Trump’s own swearing in and the inaugural address. The newly sworn in executives will then ceremonially depart the rotunda before Trump will attend the signing ceremony, where he will sign a number of nominations, memorandums, proclamations or executive orders.

On Sunday, the president-elect will lay a wreath at Arlington National Cemetery and then hold a “Make America Great Again Victory Rally” inside the Capital One Arena in downtown Washington D.C. He will then spend the night at the Blair House — located just across the street from the White House — before meeting President Biden for tea on Monday morning before heading to the Capitol.

The incoming president is scheduled to be sworn in at noon Eastern Time.
