VP Speculation Mounts After Trump Enters Mar-a-Lago With Former Presidential Candidate

On Saturday evening, President Trump commanded the attention of everyone when he walked in to Mar-a-Lago for the Trumpettes’ first gala since the 2020 COVID lockdowns.

While Trump is always the star of the show, the person who was at his side as he made his entrance sparked a lot of intrigue…and fueled VP rumors.

Can you guess who?

That’s right: Vivek Ramaswamy accompanied Trump to the Mar-a-Lago event, along with his wife Apoorva and Melania Trump.

Check out these clips from the evening:

President Trump and his family also shared a dinner table with Vivek and his wife during the gala:

After their evening spent together, many social media users are speculating that Vivek will wind up as Trump’s VP pick:

However, some people also took to X to express their skepticism of Vivek…

USA Today commented on the Trumpette gala:

The Donald Trump fan club Trumpettes’ promised “mega MAGA” gala lived up to its billing Saturday night at Mar-a-Lago.

Actor Robert Davi improvised a version of Frank Sinatra’s “My Way” in which he crooned “Trump did it his way.” U.S. Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene of Georgia decried “communist Democrats” she warned are “coming after your money.” And a rough-hewn, hardline immigration proponent said to be on Trump’s list for a Cabinet-level post vowed “we’re going to fix this (expletive)” at the southern border.

But the main event was Trump, who attended the ball upon returning from an afternoon rally in South Carolina. The former president spoke at the gold-themed black-tie and designer dress gala after tumultuous weeks of pivots and twists that have given him steamroll-like momentum for his White House comeback campaign while leaving President Joe Biden’s re-election bid reeling in damage control.

“We had a tremendous day,” an ebullient Trump said. “We’ve had quite a month, frankly.”

The Hindustan Times reported on Trump’s entrance with Vivek, noting how at the last gala in 2020, Ron DeSantis accompanied Trump:

While a sizable portion of the American population has its eyes locked on the Super Bowl weekend, former US President Donald Trump had different plans. The golden-themed evening marked the Trumpettes’ first Mar-A-Lago gala for Trump since 2020 due to the coronavirus shutdown.

It has indeed been a tumultuous month for Trump. His 2024 presidential race campaign has included all sorts of highs and lows. From his GOP dominance to primary wins in Iowa, New Hampshire and Nevada, and a US Supreme Court session scrutinising his eligibility for the upcoming presidential elections due to his raucous contributions to the January 6 insurrection at the Capitol, Trump has had quite the “wild” ride.

However, for the minute, his fan club seems to be doing everything in its power to cheer him on. The “mega MAGA” (Make America Great Again) event at Mar-A-Lago was also attended by the former First Lady Melania Trump. Many X and Instagram users alike jumped in to celebrate her as the “epitome of grace and elegance”, as she came ahead to support the Trumpettes fan club gala. It marked a rare appearance from her end as she’s not been attending many other campaign events lately endorsing Trump’s name.

She wasn’t the only one by his side. Vivek Ramaswamy, the former candidate for the 2024 United States presidential election who’s now come out in support of Trump, was also one to check-in his attendance.

In 2020, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, and Florida First Lady Casey DeSantis accompanied Donald Trump and the then-first lady. The switch has been flipped as the former governor is now the former president’s rival for the upcoming Republican presidential nomination. However, now that Vivek Ramaswamy and his wife Apoorva T Ramaswamy were by the Trump family’s side, the internet is in an uproar.

So, what do you think, folks?

Does this mean anything?

Would you support a Trump/Vivek ticket?
