BREAKING: Comer Announces Next Step In Biden Bribery Probe

Share

House Oversight Committee Chair James Comer (R-KY) is continuing the deposition phase of his investigation into business dealings by the family of President Joe Biden, and on Thursday said he expects members of the president’s family to testify before the committee very soon.

“We are going to subpoena the family. We are putting together the case to win in court,” said the Kentucky Republican, who for months has been digging through bank records showing a network of shell companies that disbursed millions of dollars made by Hunter and business associate Devon Archer to at least nine members of the president’s family in total.

“Obviously with all the opposition we are getting from the Biden attorneys, we know this is going to end up in court when we subpoena the Bidens, so we’re putting together a case. And I think we’ve done that very well… If I had subpoenaed Joe and Hunter Biden on the first day of this investigation, it would have been thrown out,” said Rep. Comer.

“We’ve had to go every step of the way and prove the media narrative was wrong and the vice president and the current president lied. We have caught Joe Biden in so many lies, I can’t even count… So we have put together a case that I think would stand up in any court in America, and we hope to hear from the Bidens soon,” he added.

WATCH:

President Biden has largely benefited from a lack of coverage in the mainstream media about the Oversight Committee’s ongoing investigation into his family’s overseas business affairs. What little coverage there has been has related to the recent collapse of a plea deal by Hunter related to tax crimes committed while representing foreign corporations. Despite angry denials by the president that he was not involved in corrupt deals with his embattled son and did not take a bribe to influence the firing of a Ukrainian prosecutor, Rep. Comer has doggedly pushed forward on a case that is becoming more notorious as the president’s reelection comes closer.

To date, the Oversight Committee has claimed to release records showing over $21 million earned by the president’s family while lobbying on behalf of foreign companies seeking access to Washington while he served as vice president. Much of the money was obtained through Rosemont Seneca Thornton, a shell company between Hunter and Archer which accepted millions of dollars from individuals who are “crooks,” Comer claimed Thursday.

“We have their bank records. Bank records don’t lie,” he added.
