Supreme Court Sides With Biden Over Border Crisis, Here Are The Conservative Justices Who FLIPPED

The U.S. Supreme court on Monday afternoon sided with the Biden admin in a case that reviewed the ongoing use of razor wire fencing along Texas’ border with Mexico.

In the new ruling, Federal authorities are now allowed to cut all razor wiring that Texas has installed alongside the Southern Border.

Previously, Governor Greg Abbot installed over 30 miles of razor wiring across the U.S.-Mexico border, but now it’s in danger of being all cut down after the Supreme Court’s last ruling.

The Court sided in a 5-4 decision, with Chief Justice John Roberts and Amy Coney Barrett siding with the majority.

Justices Thomas, Alito, Gorsuch, and Kavanaugh all voted against the Biddne admin.

Here’s what Fox News reported:

The U.S. Supreme Court on Monday sided with the Biden administration in a case involving a razor wire fence along Texas’ border with Mexico.

The court’s decision allows Border Patrol agents to cut concertina wire that Texas had installed along the border near Eagle Pass while litigation continues.

The roughly 30 miles of wire had been installed as part of Texas Gov. Greg Abbott’s broader fight with the administration over immigration enforcement and attempts to stem the historic flow of migrants across the border since Biden’s term began.

In court papers, the Biden administration argued that the wire impedes Border Patrol agents from reaching migrants as they cross the river and that, in any case, federal immigration laws trumps Texas’ own efforts to stem the flow of migrants into the country.

In a 5-4 vote Monday, the justices granted an emergency appeal from the Biden administration, which has been in an escalating standoff at the border with Texas and had objected to an appellate ruling in favor of the state.

The deciding vote was cast by Justice Roberts, while Justices Thomas, Alito, Gorsuch, and Kavanaugh were in the dissent. Justice Amy Coney Barrett, a Trump appointee, also sided with the majority.

Per CNN:

The Supreme Court is allowing US Border Patrol agents to remove razor wire deployed by Texas GOP Gov. Greg Abbott’s security initiative at the US-Mexico border while the state’s legal challenge to the practice plays out.

The vote was 5-4.

The justices’ order is a major victory for President Joe Biden in his ongoing dispute with Abbott over border policy, which had become especially fraught in recent days after three migrants drowned in a section of the Rio Grande that state officials have blocked agents’ access to, prompting the administration to further press for the high court’s intervention.

A federal appeals court last month ordered the Border Patrol agents to stop removing razor wire along a small stretch of the Rio Grande while court proceedings continue, and the Justice Department asked the justices earlier this month to step in on an emergency basis to wipe away that order, which they did on Monday.
