Attorney General Merrick Garland Now In Hot Water, Issued Subpoena

Share

Merrick Garland is once again in the hot seat, this time he has drawn the ire of Congressional investigators.

Jim Jordan of the House Judiciary Committee has issued a subpoena to Attorney General Merrick Garland regarding alleged DOJ spying on Congressional lawmakers.

Congressional investigators claim that they found out both they and their aides were spied on in 2017 as part of the Russia collusion probe into President Trump.

By now, we all know that Crossfire Hurricane was a crock of BS and that the Trump-Russian collusion conspiracy theory was completely baseless.

These transgressions were committed before Garland’s time as the Attorney General, but he has continued to provide cover for the political establishment. Here are the latest developments:

Daily Mail provided more details:

Congressional lawyers Jason Foster and Kash Patel previously revealed that DOJ secretly subpoenaed their phone records while they were overseeing Crossfire Hurricane.

Foster told DailyMail.com he got an email in October from Google revealing the DOJ requested his Google Voice records between December 1, 2016 and May 1, 2017.

Jason Foster was chief investigative counsel to then-Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Chuck Grassley at the time.

Here is the letter House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jim Jordan penned to Attorney General Merrick Garland informing him of the investigation into the DOJ’s alleged spying on lawmakers.

Newsmax also revealed:

Jordan’s quest began when a former staffer of Sen. Chuck Grassley, R-Iowa, revealed in late October that Google informed him of a DOJ subpoena in 2017 seeking information about him and his family members.
