Cancer ‘Kill Switch’ Discovered!

Scientists have reportedly discovered a cancer ‘kill switch’ that destroys tumors from the inside out.

Researchers at the University of California Davis have found a particular receptor outside of the cell known as CD95, when this receptor is triggered, a self-destructive response triggers in the tumor.

The scientists who made the discovery are hoping that not only will this discovery outright destroy tumors in certain cancers, but that it will be tailored to assist other forms of cancer therapy and treatment. Chuck Callesto explained:

“Researchers in the United States have identified a protein segment located on the surface of tumor cells that, when activated, triggers their self-destruction.

This discovery not only paves the way for the development of novel cancer-fighting drugs but also holds the potential to enhance the effectiveness of existing treatments, according to experts.”

Daily Mail dissected the findings of the study and provided Dr. Tushir-Singh’s outlook on combining the treatment with other therapies:

Dr Tushir-Singh says, theoretically, a treatment targeting the cancer kill ‘switch’ could destroy any remaining cancer cells following CAR T-cell therapy.

This would provide ‘a potential one-two punch against tumours’.

He said it could also ‘potentially support CAR T-cell therapy in solid tumours’ but didn’t specify how this would work.

The study also suggests cancer patients with a mutated epitope on their CD95 receptor do not respond to CAR-T therapy at all.

Mirror.UK added:

CAR T-cell therapy could be used to fight against tumours in the breast, lung and prostate as it involves giving patients specially engineered T-cells the ability to find and destroy tumours.

So if it were me, and I can only tell you what I would do, but if it were me or one of my family members, we’d listen to our doctor but I think I’d also be taking a high dose of Ivermectin on the side.
