JUST IN: Rep. Matt Gaetz Reveals How He Truly Feels About The Biden Impeachment

Share

Is the Biden impeachment just another political theater sham?

That’s what Rep. Matt Gaetz recently told donors during an online fundraiser. Gaetz essentially believes GOP-led efforts to impeach Joe Biden are not serious or sincere.

In Gaetz’s eyes, the current impeachment initiative simply represents another episode of the ongoing political theatre meant to placate Americans.

It remains to be seen if the impeachment proceedings brought forward by Republican lawmakers pan out, but Gaetz is telling his donors and the American people not to hold their breath.

To be clear, it isn’t that Gaetz believes Biden shouldn’t be impeached—quite the opposite, he simply believes the GOP is not putting its best effort forth in the endeavor.

Multiple outlets are now echoing the story initially featured on NBC News.

CBK News presented this recent statement from Gaetz: “It is becoming increasingly clear who the Speaker of the House already works for and it’s not the Republican Conference.”

NBC News broke the story:

“I don’t believe that we are endeavoring upon a legitimate impeachment of Joe Biden,” Gaetz told Steve Bannon, a podcaster and onetime political adviser to former President Donald Trump, who was moderating the discussion.

“They’re trying to engage in a, like, ‘forever war’ of impeachment,” Gaetz said. “And like many of our forever wars, it will drag on forever and end in a bloody draw.”

Gaetz went on with his comments suggesting that the Biden impeachment is simply political theatre: “I don’t believe that we are endeavoring upon a legitimate impeachment of Joe Biden.”

“We are witnessing government dysfunction and overall chaos at a level never seen before. From the Gaetz-McCarthy issue, the Trump trial, Biden impeachment, war in Ukraine, the border situation, a Congressman getting mugged in DC, migrant issues in blue cities, and so on and so forth. Strange times,” Breitbart journalist Randy Clark said

The New York Post offered a different perspective on the ouster of Speaker McCarthy and what it may mean for the Biden impeachment:

“It would be devastating for the investigation for Oversight Dems to be allowed to choose whom to subpoena or to veto House subpoenas,” a source close to the inquiry told The Post.

A spokesperson for Gaetz vehemently denied that the lawmaker had floated this offer to Democrats.
